Electeds and Community Call for Sale of BHOD Site

On Thursday, June 26, 2008, New York City Councilmember David Yassky invited community members and elected officials to join in calling for the sale of the Brooklyn House of Detention site. Elected officials attending included:

The electeds and the community strongly called on the Mayor and Commissioner Department of Corrections, Martin Horn, to abandon their stated plans to reopen and double the capacity of the Brooklyn House of Detention.
